The Swiss summer of a lifetime: Highlights from our Champittet Leadership Camp 2025

Summer Leadership Camp - Summer Leadership Camp

This summer, campers aged 11 to 17 came to Collège Champittet from around the world for our annual Summer Leadership Camp. Held from the end of June to the end of July, our two 14-day camp sessions were packed with Swiss adventures, personal growth and new friendships.

Leadership development through hands-on learning

Our campers flexed their leadership muscles in workshops organised by the world-renowned institutions IMD Business School and EHL Hospitality Business School. Coached by IMD experts, our young leaders tackled hands-on activities like the Helium Stick challenge, practising teamwork, communication and patience while attempting to lower the stick – a task easier said than done! Our campers also focused on grounding and presence, learning about the power of inner critical and supportive voices. In another workshop, participants discovered what makes a dream team and how to recognise their own strengths.

At EHL, the world’s top-ranked hospitality management school (QS World University Rankings 2025), our campers gained a fresh perspective on leadership through the lens of hospitality. From cooking to setting the table, our students took away lessons in collaboration, adaptation and conflict resolution.

Outdoor adventures and creative challenges

Of course, spending a summer in Switzerland is also about getting outdoors, and there was no shortage of open-air adventure at our Leadership Camp! From sailing and wake surfing on Lake Geneva to canyoning in Gruyère, exploring an underground lake or heading up to Glacier 3000 for the Alpine views, our camp gave participants a unique opportunity to experience the best of Switzerland. There were plenty of activities to fuel a sense of camp spirit, too, from campfire songs to our campers-against-counsellors football match!

Finally, our campers explored their leadership and teamwork skills through creative projects like making a short film from start to finish, or planning special events like a Gala Night, Talent Show or Multicultural Fair. Along the way, our participants built new skills and confidence – all while making new friends and sharing unforgettable memories. Thanks to all our organisers, counsellors and campers for this incredible summer experience!

The dates for the Summer Leadership Camp will be announced shortly and registration will open soon.
