The British International School Abu Dhabi opened its doors in 2009. Today, our thriving international community is home to around 2,500 students representing over 95 nationalities.
From day one, our teachers, students and parents have strived for excellence in everything we do. Our class of 2013 was the first to follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and our students have raised the bar ever since. In 2025, our IBDP class achieved an average point score of 34.1 and our first BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma graduating class achieved a 100% pass rate and an impressive cohort average of D*DD.
In 2025, we won the MENA School Excellence Parent Partnership Award 2025 as well as the ADEK Best Parent Engagement Award 2024/25, celebrating the strong, meaningful relationships we’ve built with our BIS Abu Dhabi community. They highlight how, at BIS Abu Dhabi, we listen, collaborate, and grow alongside our families, ensuring every voice shapes the way our school evolves.
Throughout our history, The British International School Abu Dhabi has provided a holistic education that teaches our students the breadth of skills they need to succeed – whatever they choose to be or do in the future.
