The weeks are flying by, with Christmas decorations up earlier than usual as Term ends a week earlier than it did last year. Plenty is happening before that, beginning with Friday's Loy Krathong Celebrations. Also, Year 11 and Year 9 students will soon make important decisions about their 'Subject Choices' and 'First thoughts' for Senior Studies/(I)GCSE Option Choices.

Now that October has drawn to a close, we have received all the entries for our Inktober competition. We have been amazed by the imagination and skill of the students who have dedicated their time and effort over the last month to create some beautiful artwork. We are delighted to announce the winners of the competition and share with you their wonderful artwork.

Last week our young adepts of physical sciences were asked to investigate the acceleration due to gravity.

Each week, from Foundation Stage 3 to Year 6, children enthusiastically take part in a Year Group singing session. Whether it's in person or through the Virtual School Experience it is fantastic to see so many children joining in with actions and movement - as well as having a lot of fun!

Introducing our new Head of Geography, a proud Welshman with over 30 years of experience as a teacher. Mr Trevor has taught in international schools all over the world and is an impassioned geographer! Fun fact, Mr Trevor has captained his country at Welsh Tchoukball and is excited to teach STA more about this inclusive sport!

Dr Erik Fleischman is an STA parent and an Infectious Diseases/Regenerative Medicine specialist from the USA. He has been working with epidemic diseases around the world for nearly 30 years including HIV/AIDS, Ebola, H1N1, SARS, MERS, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Hepatitis. I hope you have all had a relaxing break and are ready for a busy second half of the term. On Monday morning, we received exciting news about reopening! Also, it was an absolute pleasure to welcome approximately 40 Year 11 students to take their IGCSE Maths Mock Exams. Finally, we have our first University Updates from the Class of 2022!

Pi-oneers foundation is a student-led organisation aiming to provide digital education in underprivileged communities by providing necessary equipment and resources. Our goal is to partner with underprivileged schools in Bangkok that seek digital education.

Dance at St Andrews has become a core part of our school community. We are exceptionally proud of the number of opportunities to Dance at STA and the benefits it brings to our community.

With an acceptance rate of less than 10%, The New York Academy of Sciences has accepted Nysa (Year 11) to two prestigious summer programmes, 'The Junior Academy' and '1000 Girls, 1000 Futures'. Nysa was a perfect candidate, having undertaken an IGCSE in Design Technology: Systems & Controls, VEX robotics, Accelerated Math Class, Drama productions and Duke of Edinburgh alongside her enormous passion for STEM.

Year 1 experience the world through delightful aromas. Year 5 take inspiration from the Romans and also learn about light creating their own Periscopes. Year 4 produce ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ Dioramas!

Mr Will joins our team of Primary Teachers as a Classroom Teacher for Year 4. Mr Will has a fascinating background in education, sport and coaching. With an array of teaching and coaching experiences in the UK, USA, South Africa and China.
