Welcome back to another exciting school year. My name is Anita Burgess and I am the Academic Leader for Upper Key Stage 2. I look forwarding to meeting you all personally and working alongside your children.

Even though we are only back to school a few days, PE lessons with specialists are already underway for children in Year 1 to Year 6.

The BSB Sanlitun Choir has had another amazing year full of great music and successful performances.

On Tuesday, 1st May it was time for the BSB Sanlitun FOBISIA team to depart for the annual FOBISIA Games in Phuket. The mix of excitement and anticipation on the students’ faces was evident as they arrived at school looking very smart in their fresh, new kits kindly sponsored by VW.

In the penultimate week of term, four of our Year 6 pupils, Magnus, Krystal, Lisa and Mark participated in the FOBISIA Maths competition.

Heave-ho and away we go on a fantastic musical journey, where the seven seas just aren’t big enough for our pirates and mermaids!

In KS1 STEAM club this term, we have been using our creativity and problem solving skills. We have hacked different objects and materials and used them for new and exciting purposes.

Nursery have been busy celebrating Chinese New Year, they explored different ways that people celebrate. One of which is the traditional Dragon Dance.

This week in Chinese the children in Year 2 have been learning more about Chinese New Year and traditions.

This week in English the Year 2 children delved deeper into their topic of Dungeons and Dragons, continuing to learn about William the Conqueror and the Battle of Hastings.

Last term the children participated in a school wide hacking challenge.

Mr Peck received the warmest welcome from Year 6 and was already impressed with all the Eagles!
