Last week, the Year 13 chemists spent a day collecting experimental data for their Internal Assessments.
They had already researched a topic of interest, devised what they data would need to collect, and planned the method.
There was a wide range of research questions asked, from 'How Vitamin C in orange juice degrades over time at different storage temperatures?', to 'How long is best to steep green tea to get the most caffeine?'
After spending the day collecting that data they now have to analyse and evaluate what they have found out.
As this is 20% of their final diploma grade it is on important task and they now have a few weeks to finish writing up the 3,000 word report.
