This week, we are hosting the first Southeast Asia region Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival in collaboration with The Juilliard School from April 2-5.

Yesterday our Year 13 students hosted guests who were eager to learn more about the IB programme.

On March 26, our Principal, Ms Sue Hill, joined a panel discussion on Education at the ‘Business is GREAT’ conference organised by the British Embassy and BBGV.

This week we celebrated Book Week with the theme ‘Storytelling’.

On 22 - 24 March, BIS Hanoi students attended the third annual MUN Conference hosted by Northbridge International School Cambodia with the theme' Redefining Authority'.

Our teams have made us very proud with their constant enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout.

The British International School Hanoi will host the first Southeast Asia region Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival in collaboration with The Juilliard School from 2-6 April, 2019. This exciting event gives students the opportunity to attend music performances and participate in unique workshops and rehearsals led by talented performers and music educators, including Julliard-affiliated conductor Radu Paponiu.

In the UK they have been celebrating the British Science Week from March 8th-17th. Here at BIS Hanoi, we have been celebrating it every day this week across all year groups.

Setting off on Thursday (March 7th), Year 12 IB Geography students spent three days in Ba Vi National Park.

It was such an amazing showcase by our musicians and drama students being entered for IGCSE and IBDP.

Year 12 Biology IBDP students travelled to Ba Vi homestead to learn ecology content of their course out in the field.

The boys did really well alongside a total of 120 students and some amazingly talented golfers. Our highest position in the ranking was Quoc An who came 5th.

Cho Won Ho (Jack) from Year 8 and Nguyen Duc Tuan from Year 11 won the Wild Rhino Competition 2018/2019 in the Junior and Senior Categories respectively.

Our students recently competed in the U13 FOBISIA Games in Phuket. The Lionhearts walked away with a large haul of medals and trophies in swimming, athletics, basketball and football.

We are delighted to announce that British International School Hanoi came 3rd place overall across the whole competition! This is absolutely fantastic, and the four teams should be very proud.

UNISMUN XI began with students Choi Yoon Seo, Jeon Jin Woo, Park Sung Woo, Nguyen Duc Tuan, Vu Duc Hang Giang and Nguyen Ha Minh taking their positions in the Human Rights Council, General Assembly 2, the Environmental Committee, the Special Conference, General Assembly 3 and General Assembly 1 respectively.

Last week Year 3 visited Tam Dao Bear Sanctuary as part of our Young Enterprise topic.

Year 12 students involved in the Secondary School BISCON Enterprise Club were keen to support our young entrepreneurs and presented concepts of advertising.

In February 16th, Eric Jang Jun Pyo (5I) wowed the judges and won the First Prize in the 3rd Gyeonggi Junior Music Talent Competition in Gyeonggi Province, Korea.

As part of the Juilliard Creative Classroom initiative, every year BIS Hanoi is visited by a number of world-class musicians and educators. This week we were delighted to welcome back Paul Murphy who is the curriculum specialist for Vietnam.
